At the TD-Service Medical Center, all the basic types of ultrasound can be done at affordable prices with the Japanese high-level ultrasound device ALOKA Alpha 6. High qualification of the Medical Center staff and proven Japanese quality ensure maximum accuracy. After the diagnostic procedure, which lasts a few minutes, the center’s patients receive results immediately and can immediately collect them to visit a specialist for their interpretations.

Ultrasound diagnosis has practically no contraindications or limitations and is highly informative. It is important not only in cases of a disease, but also in the early stages of the disease when the exact diagnosis becomes the key to effective treatment.

Inspection using the ultrasound device is given by order of the physician, and requires no special preparation. However, there are some limitations that you might want to know about:

Ultrasonography of the abdomen is carried out strictly on an empty stomach. If the procedure can not be done in the morning, a light breakfast is permitted no later than six hours before the event. Warn your doctor about any kind of drugs that you are taking.
For two days before the study, it is desirable to keep to a diet and eliminate foods that cause flatulence. Also take 2 activated charcoal tablets 3 times in the day. On the day prior to the procedure, it is necessary to do a cleansing enema and take 4 tablets of activated charcoal.

Do not perform the ultrasound procedure after radiography, gastroscopy or colonoscopy. It is not recommended to do a blood test on the day of the ultrasound study.

Ultrasound breast examinationis recommended at 10 days of the menstrual cycle.

Transrectal method ultrasound of the prostatedoes not require a full bladder. On the day before the procedure it is necessary to have a cleansing enema.

Transabdominal method ultrasound of the prostaterequires a full bladder and it is necessary to not urinate for 2-3 hours before the test. An hour before the procedure, drink 1 liter of water without gas or another non-carbonated liquid.

Ultrasound of the bladderin both men and women is done with a full bladder and it is necessary to not urinate for 2-3 hours before the test. An hour before the procedure, drink 1 liter of water without gas or another non-carbonated liquid. If there is a strong urge to urinate, there may be a partial emptying of the bladder followed by administration of a small amount of liquid before the time of the study to achieve complete filling of the bladder.

Transabdominal methodultrasound of the uterus and appendages requires a full bladder and you should not urinate for 3-4 hours before the procedure. Drink 1 liter of water without gas or another non-carbonated liquid an hour before the procedure. On the day prior to the procedure, it is necessary to do a cleansing enema.

Transvaginal method Ultrasound of the uterus and appendagesis carried out with an empty bladder.

The liver is a vital human organ and it is extremely fragile and very hardworking. Every day, it can withstand severe loads, performing a variety of different biological functions. It can do this for a long time without showing any signs of an existing illness. You may feel heaviness in your subcostal area, or pain and tingling that usually pass quickly and do not make themselves felt. This is until a very critical moment when the disease reaches a serious phase. It is therefore important time to be examined, to identify illnesses that affect the liver and immediately start treatment.

Among the many assets of the TD-Service Center are two new production units of FIBROSCAN from our partners in France. The painless and safe procedure performed by the modern FIBROSCAN machine, will determine the degree of fibrosis and cirrhosis of the liver within 5-10 minutes. Medical advice can be given immediately and results surveyed.

FIBROSCAN is the latest technology of non-invasive examination of the liver and hepatobiliary system. The procedure does not require hospitalization or preliminary examination or preparation of the patient. The FIBROSCAN method is absolutely non-traumatic (by impact it is equivalent to the ultrasound procedure) but very informative and has a high degree of accuracy to identify the severity of fibrotic changes in the liver. It includes diagnosis of the early stages of cirrhosis. Repeating the procedure at different time assists in the dynamics of treatment and the monitoring of its effectiveness. The FIBROSCAN method is suitable for people of all ages and it has been used successfully on pediatric patients.

Patients who are at risk are all strongly recommended to have a FIBROSCAN procedure. This includes those who have reason to believe that there is a presence of chronic liver disease and those with chronic viral hepatitis B, C and D. Patients diagnosed with cirrhosis and patients who planned to carry out antiviral therapy to assess the degree of liver fibrosis in dynamics before, during and after treatment are also recommended to do so.
